Special Note from Tony:
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your hard work during this year's Race to Scouting. I am very impressed with the work that is being done by unit leaders and district volunteers to start off the 2007 - 2008 Scouting year. I also wanted to thank all of you for getting your applications into the Council office as quickly as possible. It is my hope that this quick turn around on applications will prevent the problems that we had last year at recharter time.
I would like to ask all units to contact me if that have more applications that have come in since your sign-up night. We need to get as many applications as possible into the office for this Friday so we can get an accurate picture of what the District Committee and Commissioner's Staff will need to work on for December 31, 2007. The professional staff is willing to travel to you in order to get stray applications. Just call or email me at the Council and we will work something out.
Again, Congratulations on all the good work and I am excited about this coming year. I know we are all going to have a good time delivering a great program to our Scouts.
